WXXI Public Broadcasting Council
Michael Black has an extensive background in broadcasting, currently serving as the Radio Program Manager at WXXI Public Broadcasting Council since June 2007. Prior to this role, Michael managed the WEOS-FM radio station at Hobart and William Smith Colleges from May 1988 to June 2007 and was the General Manager at Hobart College during the same period. Earlier career experience includes positions as a Broadcast Engineer/Editor at WHYY from July 1985 to May 1988 and as a Broadcast Operations Engineer/Editor at WXXI from January 1980 to July 1985. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications and Meteorology from SUNY Brockport, completed between 1978 and 1981.
