Cassien Havugimana

Cassien Havugimana is the Deputy Country Director for Rwanda & Uganda, for Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA), based in Kigali. Cassien worked as the Regional Coordinator in Rwanda and Eastern DR Congo for the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH). As Regional Coordinator for 5 years, he coordinated many research projects in the health sector, and he was responsible for leading the strategic directions of the organization across the region. Cassien worked in Northern Nigeria as a health promotion Manager for Doctors without Borders (MSF) and worked with civil society organizations in Rwanda to influence health policies. He holds a Master of Medical Sciences in Public Health Epidemiology from Karolinska Institute, Sweden.
