Jeni C.

Jeni C. has extensive experience in the field of human trafficking and migration. Jeni is currently serving as the Director of Human Trafficking Research Initiative at Innovations for Poverty Action. Prior to this, they held various roles at Winrock International, including Director of Human Trafficking and Migration, Associate Director of Counter-Trafficking in Persons, and Senior Technical Specialist in Human Trafficking. From 2012 to 2019, Jeni worked as an independent consultant, providing grant-writing services and technical expertise in gender, human trafficking, and child labor prevention to international development organizations and US-based nonprofits. Jeni also has experience as a Program Officer at Winrock International, a Researcher and Writer at Development and Training Services, and a Program Officer and Project Assistant at the National Democratic Institute. Jeni started their career as a Volunteer with Peace Corps in Kyrgyzstan.

Jeni C. completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Government from The University of Texas at Austin in 1999. Jeni later pursued their Master's degree in International Policy and Development, earning an MPP from Georgetown University between 2002 and 2004. In addition, Jeni obtained a Human Subjects Research Certification from the CITI Program in May 2021.
