Valentina Farinelli currently serves as a Senior Program Associate for the Human Trafficking Research Initiative at Innovations for Poverty Action, a role commenced in August 2023. Previously, Valentina worked as a Quantitative and Spatial Research Assistant at The James Hutton Institute, contributing to research on rural communities in Scotland. Earlier experience includes positions as a Graduate Intern at Innovations for Poverty Action, a Teaching Assistant at the University of California, Davis, and various research assistant roles in notable institutions such as the Mistra Center for Sustainable Markets and the Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics. Valentina has a Master of Science in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of California, Davis, and a Master’s degree in Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Università degli studi Roma TRE.
