Akanksh Shetty

Applied AI Scientist at Innovative Numerics

Akanksh Shetty received his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a master’s degree focused on Applied Artificial Intelligence from Carnegie Mellon University.

Akanksh has a passion for multidisciplinary research and wants to bring the power of AI to solving real world problems. He has prior experience with non-linear Finite Element Analysis and extensive experience with putting cutting edge AI algorithms in practice to solve problems in domains such as Computer Aided Design, Additive Manufacturing, Material Modeling and Design Optimization.

He has prior work experience spans solving challenging problems in industry and research labs while contributing as an engineer and a leader in famous contests like the SpaceX Hyperloop Competition and Formula SAE competition.

His research (‘Prediction of Microstructure’s Mechanical Properties from Uniaxial Compression Videos using Deep Learning’) was awarded the best research project in computational engineering at Carnegie Mellon’s Mechanical Engineering Symposium.

At Innovative Numerics, Akanksh is working towards researching AI algorithms to solve problems in multiple domains.
