Principal Scientist at Inotiv

Josh Cooper has a diverse work experience spanning over 17 years in the field of bioanalytical chemistry and pharmaceutical research. Josh is currently working as a Principal Scientist at Inotiv, where they are responsible for performing LCMS bioanalytical method development and study conduct to evaluate the ADME properties of potential drug substances. Josh also serves as the Inotiv representative and point of contact for bioanalytical projects. Prior to joining Inotiv, Josh worked at MilliporeSigma for 11 years, where they held various roles including Principal Scientist and Quality Control Manager. In these roles, they oversaw LC-MS and other quality-driven analytical activities, identified and reported quality issues for custom projects and new product development, and managed QC testing and personnel. Before MilliporeSigma, they were a LCMS Consultant for a brief period and worked as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at The University of Texas at Austin, conducting research in developing new therapies for neurological malignancies. Earlier in their career, Josh worked as the Bioanalytical Laboratory Director at South Texas Accelerated Research Therapeutics (START) and as the Bioanalytical Laboratory Assistant Director/Director at CTRC Institute for Drug Development. In these roles, they contributed to the discovery and development of new drugs, conducted PK analyses, and established highly effective and GLP-compliant laboratories. Overall, Josh Cooper has demonstrated expertise in method development, analytical testing, project management, and leadership in the bioanalytical and pharmaceutical research field.

Josh Cooper has a PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, which they obtained from The University of Kansas from 1997 to 2003. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry at Grove City College from 1993 to 1997.
