Teresa Ferreira is currently a Data Scientist Trainee at Inovretail since September 2022. Previously, Teresa held the position of Sales Team Leader and served as an Outgoing Global Volunteer Member at AIESEC from February 2020 to January 2021. Additionally, Teresa worked as a researcher at IOTECH - Innovation on Technology, contributing to the ioCOVID project, which aimed at developing a clinical decision support platform utilizing Artificial Intelligence for patient categorization and discharge prediction from July to December 2020. Prior experience also includes serving as the Secretary of Communication & Image at AIS.SC UMinho from November 2017 to November 2018. Teresa completed a Master’s degree in Information Systems Engineering and Management at Universidade do Minho between September 2016 and July 2022, following earlier education at Escola Secundária Francisco de Holanda from 2013 to 2016.

Predicting the sales baseline and the promotional impact for a Fashion retailer where they isolate what share of the sales are due to the Promotions in place, to the weather conditions, to a specific holiday and even to localfootball games – in some cases the difference between the predictions and the real observations are less than 2%!2. Predicting the churn patterns of another Fashion retailer’s clients, allowing them to predict who is more likely to churn and allowing them to take action before it is too late3. Predicting the products that are most likely to be out-of-stock and in what locations, optimizing the logistics and operations by several orders of magnitude – this is in place for Fashion, Food and now in Sports retailers.
