Leonard Hegarty

Leonard Hegarty has extensive work experience in the technology and finance industries. Leonard currently serves as the Head of Delivery for Cardano Blockchain at Input Output (IOHK), where they are responsible for completing the on-chain governance of Cardano. Prior to this, they held roles as DLT Technology Leadership at ClickM and Technical Architect/Leadership at Boot Finance FinTech, where they focused on building blockchain-based applications and designing distributed ledger solutions. Leonard also worked at Deutsche Bank as the SAFe and Agile@Scale Transformation/Portfolio Management Lead, overseeing market risk change and regulatory implementation. Earlier in their career, they held various technical and leadership positions at Daiwa Securities, SCL, Credaris, Barclays Capital, Morgan Stanley, and Lehman Brothers, where they contributed to the development and implementation of financial technology solutions.

Leonard Hegarty holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of Limerick. Leonard has also obtained certification as a SAFe 4 Certified Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc. in 2018.
