Joy Bandekar

Joy Bandekar has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Joy is currently working as the Group President - Strategy & Planning at Inshorts since March 2021. Prior to this, they were a Founding Partner at Udaan.com from September 2018 to February 2021. From November 2015 to August 2018, they served as the Corporate President - New Initiatives at Ola (ANI Technologies Pvt. Ltd). Before that, they held the position of Corporate President at Flipkart Internet from November 2012 to October 2015.

Joy also has experience working at eBay Inc. as a Director from June 2005 to January 2012. Joy has worked in the government sector as well, serving as an Officer on Special Duty to the Chief Minister of Goa at Govt of Goa from September 2003 to May 2005, and as an Officer on Special Duty to the Minister for Agriculture, Shipping, and Civil Aviation at Govt of India from November 2000 to August 2003.

Their early career includes roles such as Station Manager at ATCOM Technologies Limited from March 1999 to July 2000, Assistant Manager at Reliance Industries Limited from March 1997 to March 1999, and Assistant Manager at Maxworth Orchards India Limited from July 1995 to February 1997.

Joy Bandekar completed a Bachelor of Technology (B Tech) in Mechanical Engineering at Goa University from 1987 to 1991. Prior to that, from 1985 to 1987, they completed their 10+2 education at St. Xavier's College, studying Science. Before entering college, Joy completed their Secondary School Certificate (SSC) from 1+10, with no specified field of study, from 1975 to 1985. Later on, Joy pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Business from SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) between 1993 and 1995.
