Karen de Souza do Prado

Karen de Souza do Prado is a researcher who has worked in both the private and public sector. Karen began their career as a visiting researcher at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg in September 2018. There, they worked on developing hybrid nanocomposites using cellulose nanocrystals. In October 2019, they began working as a researcher at UFSCar - Universidade Federal de São Carlos, where they worked on developing analyses, monitoraments, indices, and tests of policies aiming to improve customer engagement and business metrics. In July 2021, they began working as an analista de negócios at Nubank, where they are responsible for planning and executing communication tests with a focus on the customer, conducting analyses with databases with the aim of optimizing business metrics, developing monitoraments to ensure the health of the business, developing an index to track and improve platform stability used by the business unit, implementing and analyzing communication campaigns with a focus on the customer, presenting results, and programming (Scala).

Karen de Souza do Prado has a PhD in Nanosciences and Advanced Materials from Universidade Federal do ABC. Karen also has a Bachelor's Degree in Engenharia de Materiais from Universidade Federal do ABC, a Bachelor's Degree in Química from Universidade Federal do ABC, and a Certification from University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies in Academic English.
