Gwen Thompson Hill

Gwen Thompson Hill is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in equity, diversity, and inclusion within the research environment. Currently serving as a Senior Program Analyst at SSHRC-CRSH since October 2023, Gwen brings a wealth of knowledge from a longstanding role as Manager of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in Research at Royal Roads University, where initiatives are focused on creating an inclusive academic environment. Gwen has led significant projects such as the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Capacity Building Project and has played a vital role as Vice Chair of the Anti-Racism Task Force, implementing strategies in response to social justice issues. In addition, Gwen has contributed to the Canadian Association of Research Administrators as a Course Facilitator, delivering workshops on EDI topics, and has previously held positions at NSERC and IBM Global Services, demonstrating a diverse skill set in research administration and project management. Gwen holds a Master of Interdisciplinary Studies in Intergenerational Communication from Royal Roads University.
