Emma Spicer

Emma Spicer has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Emma has held various roles at Insight Investment and BlackRock.

At Insight Investment, Emma currently works as the Head of Corporate Risk, North America, a position they have held since January 2022. Prior to this, they were a Project Manager for a large scale integration project, where they set project quality and performance standards, established processes, and managed risk within the Portfolio Compliance workstream.

Before joining Insight Investment, Emma worked at BlackRock for several years. Emma served as the Global Head of Portfolio Compliance Coding and Monitoring and the Strategic Lead on Operational and Corporate Risk Initiatives from June 2020 to October 2020. Additionally, they held the role of US Head - Manager Portfolio Compliance from September 2015 to June 2020. In this role, they led and implemented Insight North America's Portfolio Compliance function, ensuring compliance with investment guidelines from clients, regulators, and the firm.

At BlackRock, Emma started as an Analyst in the Portfolio Compliance Group Core team in 2006 and eventually became a Vice President. In this role, they monitored portfolio compliance, supported the Portfolio Compliance Group in various activities, and developed the operational risk framework.

Emma Spicer attended Stetson University from 2000 to 2005 and obtained a BBA/MBA degree in Finance.
