Craig Ray

Senior SAS Programmer at Insight Policy Research

Craig Ray is an IT professional with more than 35 years of information technology (IT) experience, both technical and managerial. He has extensive experience in SAS and database programming, software engineering, production system design and support, and large-scale system development.

At Insight, Craig supports advanced programming for several projects for the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children. For example, he has constructed a longitudinal dataset employing probabilistic matching. He has also developed sophisticated statistical programs supporting a study for the National Science Foundation.

Craig completed his undergraduate study at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and earned an M.S. in statistics from the University of Rochester. Prior to joining Insight, he was an IT professional with several companies, including Westat, Marriott, General Electric, and SAIC. He was also a contract instructor for the SAS Institute, teaching the SAS Basics and SAS Macro Language courses.
