Drug Discovery at insitro

Virja Pandya is a Research Associate at Bristol Myers Squibb. Virja has a background in neuroscience and has been working in the field of drug discovery for the past year. Virja has experience in maintaining and differentiating iPSC models of cortical neurons and various neuronal and non-neuronal cell lines for target validation and high through put screening hit validation assays. Virja has also developed a high-throughput automated capillary electrophoresis (Using Protein simple systems: JESS and WES) based target validation assay. Currently, they are working on developing a python-based program to automate CRISPR data analysis to robustly analyze and visualize genome wide screen data.

Virja Pandya has a Master of Engineering from Cornell University in Biomedical/Medical Engineering, and a Bachelor's degree from University at Buffalo in Biomedical/Medical Engineering. Virja also has a certification from Cornell University in Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB).

They work with Eray Watts - VP, High Throughput Chemistry, Divya Kanichar - Director, DEL, and Eugeni Vaisberg - VP, Disease Model Systems and Arrayed Screening. Their manager is Keith James, SVP, Drug Discovery.
