Kristan Cline, PhD, CHCP, CMPP has extensive experience in the field of medical education and scientific communications. Kristan currently holds the position of Senior Director, Global Head of Scientific Communications at Insmed Incorporated, where they oversee global scientific communications initiatives. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Medical Education at Insmed from 2016 to 2018.

Before joining Insmed, Dr. Cline worked as the Principal at Cline Services, LLC for a brief period in 2016. Kristan also held the position of Director of Medical Education at NPS Pharmaceuticals (now Shire) from 2012 to 2015, where they established and managed the Independent Medical Education function and operations.

From 2008 to 2012, Dr. Cline worked at Janssen Scientific Affairs as the Education Director, leading cross-functional teams to develop strategic Independent Medical Education plans. Kristan played a key role in developing a cross-company Educational Grants System.

Earlier in their career, Dr. Cline held various positions at sanofi-aventis, including Sr Manager of National Education and Publications Manager of Medical Affairs. Kristan also worked as an Associate Manager of US Scientific Publications at sanofi-aventis.

Dr. Cline began their career as a Medical Director at Interlink Healthcare Communications, where they provided oversight of medical strategy for brands in oncology and neuroscience.

Kristan holds a PhD and has conducted research on the neurotoxicity associated with amphetamine derivatives during their time as a Postdoctoral fellow at Case Western Reserve University.

Kristan Cline, PhD, CHCP, CMPP, has an extensive education history starting with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder, which they earned from 1988 to 1991. Kristan then pursued a doctoral degree in Behavioral Neuroscience at Oregon Health & Science University from 1992 to 1998, obtaining their PhD.

In addition to their academic achievements, Cline has obtained several certifications. In 2009, they became a Certified Healthcare CPD Professional (CHCP) through the Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions. Later, in 2015, they completed the Certificate in Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Law and Compliance from Seton Hall University School of Law.

Cline's commitment to continuous learning is exemplified by their most recent certifications. In 2018, they obtained the Certified Medical Publications Professional (CMPP) designation from the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP). It is worth noting that they also completed the Healthcare Compliance Certification Program in 2012 from Seton Hall University School of Law, although no specific month or year is provided for that certification.
