Alison Simone, MFA

Alison Simone, MFA has a diverse work experience in various roles in the performing arts industry. Most recently, they served as the Lead UX Researcher & Analyst at Insomniac Design, an award-winning digital creative agency in D.C. Prior to that, they worked as a Production Stage Manager for "In The Trenches: A Parenting Musical" and as an Assistant Stage Manager for "Mozart Alison'sStory: A New Musical" and "Rutka, A New Musical". Alison also gained experience as an Assistant Stage Manager at The Shed (NY) for the play "Straight Line Crazy". Additionally, Alison has worked in user research and project management roles at Amplify, where they contributed to content creation and authoring. Alison has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Providence College. Earlier in their career, they held stage management positions at Rock of Ages Off Broadway, New York Musical Festival, and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

Alison Simone, MFA, has a diverse education history. Alison obtained their Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Stage Management from Columbia University, where they studied from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they attended Providence College from 2012 to 2016 and earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology, focusing on General Biology, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Theatre/Theater.

In addition to their academic achievements, Alison has also obtained certifications in Adult Mental Health First Aid from JustUsMinds, Inc. (fka Regions Health Literacy Group) in May 2022. Alison is also an American Red Cross CPR/ AED Certified, though the institution and the date of certification were not provided.
