About the Role

You will work at the cutting edge of science and technology, working with pioneering companies, leading research centers and world class universities to push the boundaries of what is possible. You will help to solve the most difficult and pressing problems in the world today, from climate change to an aging population, from sustainable transport to smart cities to name just a few. You will work among a small team of experienced consultants to secure grant funding for medium and large collaborative projects (around 5M€ - 100M€).

In this role, you will:

  • Leverage your expertise in economics, financial modeling, and data analysis to provide insights, develop robust financial models, and support proposals for clients across various industries.

  • You will work on reviewing the economics of our clients’ companies that include market analysis, economic impact assessments, financial feasibility studies, and strategic planning.

  • You will assist in the writing of the economics section for the program Innovation Fund.

  • Conduct economic research and analysis to evaluate market trends and macroeconomic indicators.

  • Build, maintain, and enhance complex financial models to support forecasting, valuation, and scenario analysis.

  • Design dynamic models for our clients business plan including budgeting, financial planning, and investment analysis.

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret economic and financial data from various sources.

  • Visualize data using tools like Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or Python.

  • Work closely with clients to understand their objectives and provide customized solutions.

  • Work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, or equivalent) are a plus.

Technical Expertise:

  • Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of economic theories, market analysis, and policy evaluation.
  • Advanced skills in Excel (macros, pivot tables) and experience with financial modeling software.
  • Familiarity with statistical tools and programming languages (e.g., R, Python, or MATLAB) is preferred.

Analytical and Communication Skills:

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in economic consulting, financial modeling, or a related field.
  • Experience working with government agencies, financial institutions, or consulting firms is an advantage.
