Jim Amen

Jim Amen is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in audio and video production, particularly in sports and live events. Currently serving as the HuskerVision On Call Engineer at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln since August 2016, Jim provides venue support for large-scale productions across various sports. As the Video Director and Engineer for Dog Pound Productions since June 2016, Jim directs multi-camera productions for a local professional baseball team. Additionally, Jim has been engaged in live event production with Inspirmedia Productions since 2012 and serves as Co-Owner of BEAREL, LLC, a real estate holding company. Their long career includes significant roles such as Principal Engineer at LI-COR Biosciences, where Jim managed an engineering department and contributed to the development of automated DNA sequencing technology. Jim also served in the US Army Reserve and began their career as a Staff Software Engineer at HWS Consulting Group. Jim holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
