Peter Van Vlasselaer is a Belgian-American businessman and entrepreneur. Peter is the current director at Inspirna, a position they have held since 2020.

Van Vlasselaer has over 25 years of experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. Peter has served as the chair of the board of directors at Comet Therapeutics from October 2017 to September 2020. Prior to that, they were the founder and executive chair of the board of directors at True North Therapeutics from August 2013 to May 2017.

Van Vlasselaer is also a founding partner at FORTY51 Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on life sciences and healthcare investments. Peter is also a founding partner at ND Capital, a life sciences investment firm.

From January 2013 to June 2018, Van Vlasselaer was the founder, president, and CEO of ARMO BioSciences. Peter then served as an independent director of the board at Blade Therapeutics from August 2015 to December 2019.

Van Vlasselaer received their MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France and their BS in Biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley.

Peter Van Vlasselaer has a BS in Zoology from the University of Leuven in Belgium. Peter then went on to get their PhD in Immunology from the same school. After that, they did post-doctoral work in immunology at both the DNAX Research Institute in Palo Alto, CA and Stanford University in Stanford, CA.
