Mikaela Bielke

Mikaela Bielke is currently the General Counsel at Budbee. Prior to that, they were the Corporate Legal Counsel at BillerudKorsnäs AB from August 2015 to September 2020. In that role, they supported the global operations and business activities within the company with legal and strategic advices on a daily basis, having significant exposure to work across multiple jurisdictions and cultures (e.g. in Europe, Asia and the US). Acting as a business partner, they worked with management and our business teams in a broad spectrum of legal areas, with main focus on drafting and negotiating commercial contracts (e.g. customer and supply agreements, distribution agreements, license agreements, joint development agreements, strategic co-operation agreements etc.); assisting in developing and building new business models and co-operations; and giving advice and support in general corporate matters (commonly Contract Law, Competition Law, Dispute Resolution and IP-related matters). Corporate governance for the BillerudKorsnäs Group subsidiaries was part of their responsibilities, some Board secretary work, as well as establishing new business entities worldwide. Her work also included developing the relatively new established department of law, e.g. by creating and improving the legal infrastructure and legal processes within the company, and by drafting guidelines, policies, template agreements and similar documents.

Mikaela Bielke has a Swedish Master of Laws Degree from Stockholm University, with a focus on drafting commercial contracts in English. Mikaela also has a degree in international business law, negotiation, and settlements of international disputes from Bond University.
