Himel Dev

Himel Dev is a seasoned machine learning engineer with extensive experience in developing deep learning models and algorithms across various high-tech companies. Currently serving as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer II at Instacart since October 2025, Himel previously held the role of Senior Research Scientist at The Trade Desk, focusing on forecasting and recommendation systems in advertising. Prior to that, diverse contributions at Snap Inc. as an Applied Research Scientist included large-scale machine learning solutions for user profiling and causal analysis. Earlier career highlights include impactful research internships at Visa, Adobe, and teaching roles at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. Himel holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
