Zain Adil

Zain Adil is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and infrastructure. Zain currently serves as the Senior Director of Engineering at Instacart, overseeing the Developer Platform, Infrastructure, Productivity, and Enterprise AI. Previous roles at Instacart include Director of Engineering and Senior Engineering Manager, focusing on Developer Foundations and Productivity Engineering. Prior to Instacart, Zain was the Engineering Manager for Backend and Infrastructure Engineering at North, where responsibility included leading teams in Cloud Services and Data Engineering until the company's acquisition by Google. Zain's early career included significant contributions at Joist as a Senior Software Engineer and at BlackBerry, where Zain worked as a Security Software Engineer and Software Tools Developer. Zain holds a BSc Honors in Computer Science from the Lassonde School of Engineering at York University.
