Christoffel Doorman

Christoffel Doorman has a diverse work experience with a focus on research and teaching. Christoffel is currently working as a Research Engineer at InstaDeep Ltd since December 2022. Prior to that, they were an Applied Scientist Intern at Amazon from August 2022 to October 2022. Christoffel has also worked as a Research Assistant and a Postgraduate Research Intern at UCL Computer Science from June 2021 to June 2022, and from June 2021 to December 2021, respectively. Before that, they worked as a Postgraduate Research Intern at Universiteit van Amsterdam from September 2019 to August 2020. Christoffel has also gained experience as an Intern at Adyen in 2018 and as a Teacher at Luzac College from February 2017 to April 2018. Christoffel started their teaching career as a Teacher at Stichting Studiebegeleiding Leiden from January 2015 to December 2016. Additionally, they worked as a Private Tutor at Bijlesbureau StudentsPlus Nederland from September 2014 to September 2016.

Christoffel Doorman began their education at Barlaeus Gymnasium in 2007, where they obtained their Vwo/gymnasium degree with honors in 2013. Christoffel then entered the University of Amsterdam in 2013, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Astronomy, which they successfully completed in 2018. During this time, they developed a strong foundation in the field. Following their Bachelor's, Christoffel continued their studies at the University of Amsterdam and obtained a Master's degree in Theoretical Physics in 2020, graduating with distinction, cum laude, and achieving a remarkable grade of 8.9 out of 10. Displaying a keen interest in Machine Learning, they subsequently enrolled at UCL in 2020 and acquired a Master of Science degree in Machine Learning in 2021, again receiving a distinction with an impressive grade of 89%.
