Martin Maarand

Martin Maarand has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. In 2015, they began their career as a Software Developer at Girf OÜ, where they worked on multiple projects primarily using Java and Spring technology. Martin also performed maintenance work on existing projects until September 2017. In 2018, they joined Tieto as a Software Developer, where they were involved in the Estonian Education Information System project, utilizing Oracle technologies, Java, SQL, and X-Road. Martin'stenure at Tieto lasted until December 2018. In 2019, they started working at Teklia as a Machine Learning Engineer, working on machine learning tasks related to historical documents. Martin also took on internships as a Machine Learning Engineer within the same company from February to September 2019. Currently, Martin Maarand is employed at InstaDeep Ltd as a BioAI Software Engineer, starting in June 2022.

Martin Maarand received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Informatics from TalTech - Tallinn University of Technology, where they studied from 2013 to 2016. Subsequently, they pursued a Master's degree in Informatics at Pierre and Marie Curie University from 2017 to 2019.
