Rebecca Jeffers

Rebecca Jeffers has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Rebecca is currently a Senior Research Engineer at InstaDeep Ltd. Prior to that, they worked at EDF as a Research Engineer and Project Manager in Optimisation, where they managed the "Energy Optimisation Lab" and developed models and algorithms for various energy industry optimization problems. Rebecca also worked as a Research Engineer in the "Optimisation methods, models and tools" group within the "OSIRIS" department at EDF, where they coded daily in Python and C++ to write optimization models.

Before their time at EDF, Rebecca worked at Imperial College London as a Knowledge Transfer Secondment and a Research Engineer. Additionally, they had an undergraduate research opportunity at EPSRC, where they focused on the cycling of tritium in the environment. Rebecca started their career as an Engineering Intern at Magnox Ltd, where they applied technical skills to a thermodynamic project and improved communication between interns and managers.
