Sophie Monnier

Sophie Monnier has a diverse work experience, with their most recent role being a Business Development Engineer at InstaDeep Ltd. Prior to this, they were the President of Group X - Intelligence Artificielle at École Polytechnique. Sophie also worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Zefir, a ML Engineer - Computer Vision Data Scientist at GenesIA, and an Instructor Machine Learning Engineer Bootcamp at Yotta Academy. Sophie has held leadership roles including Chief Scientific Officer at DeepMove and Chief Product Officer at Homing Bird. Sophie has also worked as a Lead Data Science at ADEO and a Senior Data Scientist at Quantmetry where they executed multiple data science and engineering missions for clients in industries such as real estate, telecommunications, insurance, and oil & gas. Their role as a Processing Geophysicist at CGG involved leading geophysical data analysis and visualization projects for a major Oil & Gas client.

Sophie Monnier completed their Bachelor's degree in Environmental Physics and Mechanics at École Polytechnique in 2013. In the same year, they also obtained their MSc in Exploration Geophysics from Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris. From 2015 to 2018, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy in Geophysics and Seismology at The University of Western Australia. Moreover, they have completed numerous certification courses in relevant fields such as machine learning, data science, and data visualization from institutions including Coursera and DataCamp.
