Waqaas Rehman has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Waqaas is currently the Business Development Lead at InstaDeep Ltd, where they focus on building AI-powered software solutions for enterprise problems. Previously, they worked as an Investment Manager at Deutsche Bahn Digital Ventures, where they invested in early-stage startups and supported the development of technology ecosystems. Rehman also worked as an Analyst at M Ventures, focusing on investment analysis. Prior to that, they conducted research as a PhD Researcher at the University of Oxford, investigating semiconducting perovskite materials for solar cell technology. Waqaas has also worked as a Consultant at Oxford Microfinance Initiative and had research and development internships at SCHOTT - Coating Technology and Airbus. Throughout their career, Rehman has published academic papers and demonstrated expertise in AI, deep learning, data platforms, and mobility technologies.

Waqaas Rehman began their education at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, where they received their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Physics from 2008 to 2011. Waqaas then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Physics at Goethe University Frankfurt from 2011 to 2013.

In 2014, Waqaas Rehman enrolled at the University of Oxford, where they completed a DPhil in Condensed Matter Physics with a focus on Semiconducting materials and Terahertz spectroscopy. Waqaas successfully completed this program in 2017.

During their time at Oxford, in December 2015, Waqaas Rehman also obtained a certification in "Building a Business" from the Said Business School at the University of Oxford.

In 2016, they further expanded their knowledge in data analysis by completing a certification in "Exploratory Data Analysis" through The Johns Hopkins University. In 2017, they earned certifications in "Getting and Cleaning Data" and "R Programming" from The Johns Hopkins University as well, showcasing their expertise in data science.

In 2019, Waqaas Rehman attended the University of California, Berkeley's Haas School of Business for the Venture Capital Executive Program, enhancing their knowledge in the field of venture capital.
