Dogan Can Ayder has worked in various roles since 2011. In 2011, they were a volunteer for the Educational Volunteers Foundation of Turkey (TEGV). In 2012, they were an Intern Engineer for Turbosan and a Volunteer Coordinator for the Istanbul Technical University Environmental Engineering Club's project, Tears of Water. In 2013, they completed an Internship for the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey. In 2014, they completed an Engineer Internship for ARBIOGAZ A.S. From 2017 to 2021, they worked as a Software Engineer for CAN KLIMA TEKNIK SAN. VE TIC. LTD. STI. During this time, they were involved in agile development teams working on both backend and frontend of projects using ASP. NET and Angular. In 2019, they began working as a Software Engineer for The University of Edinburgh, where they worked on the Systematic Review Facility (SyRF) project. Dogan Can is currently a Software Engineer for INSTANDA.

Dogan Can Ayder has a Master of Science (M.S.) in Marine & Lacustrine Sci & Mngt from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, obtained between 2015 and 2017. Dogan Can also has a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, obtained between 2010 and 2015. Additionally, they obtained an ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System certification from TSC Academy of Management Systems in September 2013.
