After completing their bachelor's degree, Villanueva took a break from their academic pursuits. However, they returned to education in 2011 and attended Cochise College, where they obtained an Associate of Science degree in Military Intelligence, Command Control, and Information Operations in 2012. Finally, in 2014, Villanueva enrolled in Florida International University again, this time pursuing a Master's degree in International Business, which they completed in 2015.
