Ian Yamamoto

Ian Yamamoto has extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, currently serving as a Cell Therapy Specialist at Instil Bio since July 2021 and at Kite Pharma since June 2018. Responsibilities include cGMP manufacturing of YESCARTA and TECARTUS, aseptic gowning in controlled environments, and technical writing of SOPs. Previously, Ian worked as a Production Chemist at Bachem, focusing on the manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients and peptides, including synthesis and purification processes. Early career experience includes a role as a Lab Assistant at the Fogelman Research Group in the Cardiology Division. Ian holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles.
