Jinzhou Yuan has worked in various positions and companies throughout their career. They began at the University of Pennsylvania as a Graduate Research Assistant, where they conducted experimental, numerical, and theoretical research on the fluid dynamics of swimming in the low Reynolds number regime. They also served as a Teaching Assistant for two courses during this time.
Afterwards, Jinzhou joined Columbia University in the City of New York as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist. Here, they focused on platform and assay development for massively parallel single-cell mRNA sequencing and imaging. They designed and tested microfluidic devices for sequencing, as well as an automated reagent delivery/temperature control system.
From there, Jinzhou moved on to Juno Therapeutics, Inc. and then Bristol Myers Squibb, holding positions as a Scientist II in CAR T Computational Biology. They played a crucial role in these companies in advancing computational biology in the CAR T field.
Currently, Jinzhou is working at Instil Bio as a Senior Principal Scientist, where they continue to contribute their expertise.
Overall, Jinzhou Yuan has a diverse range of experience in research and computational biology, making valuable contributions to their respective companies and fields.
Jinzhou Yuan completed their Bachelor's Degree in Water Supply and Sewerage Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. Following this, they pursued further education and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, completing their studies there between 2010 and 2015.
