Assumpció Termens

Assumpció Termens is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in geospatial science and education. Since September 2021, Assumpció has served as an Associate Lecturer at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Prior to that, Assumpció worked at Institut Cartogràfic i Geològic de Catalunya from September 2008 as a Geospatial EO Data Scientist and held multiple roles in the Earth Observation Research & Development and Geoprocessing Departments. Assumpció’s career began at Institut Cartografic de Catalunya in the Geodesy Department, focusing on geodetic networks, levelling, and GPS from January 1989 to August 2008. Assumpció also has a background in programming as a Junior Programmer at Centre Informàtic Generalitat de Catalunya in 1988. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Applied Mathematics from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, an ICE Pedagogical Aptitude Certificate from Universitat de Barcelona, and a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics from the same institution.
