Caroline Bonner

Caroline Bonner is an accomplished researcher with extensive experience in diabetes research and endocrinology. Currently serving as a Group Leader at Institut Pasteur de Lille since February 2017, Caroline Bonner focuses on deciphering the mechanisms of action of antidiabetic therapies for type 2 diabetes. Previous roles include Senior Research Scientist at L'Institut Pasteur de Lille, Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Islet Biology at the European Genomic Institute for Diabetes, and a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at Institute Cochin, where research centered on glucose regulation and cancer metabolism. Caroline Bonner has a strong foundation in molecular and cell biology, including significant contributions to identifying gene functions in diabetes and pancreatic cell biology, as well as extensive laboratory management and leadership experience. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Molecular Endocrinology from The Royal College of Surgeons, and ongoing Habilitation à diriger des recherches at the University of Lille.
