Vincent Michel

Principal Scientist

Vincent Michel, PhD, has extensive experience in the field of neurobiology and neuroscience, currently serving as a Principal Scientist and Research Scientist at the Institut Pasteur since February 2001, focusing on mechanosensation and morphogenesis of cochlear sensory cells. Simultaneously, Vincent Michel has been affiliated with Inserm U1120 at the Institut Pasteur since January 2001, specializing in inner ear physiology and cochlear cellular development through electron microscopy. Prior to these roles, Vincent Michel worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at ETH Zurich from December 1999 to February 2001, studying neuronal plasticity in the hippocampus. Vincent Michel earned a PhD in Neurobiology and Neurosciences from the Faculté de Médecine-Université de Franche-Comté in 1999, following a master's degree in Biochemistry, Molecular and Cell Biology from Université Bourgogne Europe and a degree in Animal Physiology from Université Henri Poincaré.
