Adiwan Aritenang

Adiwan Aritenang serves as the Program Director for Postgraduate Studies in Transportation Studies and Urban and Regional Planning at Institut Teknologi Bandung, where responsibilities include curriculum revisions for MSc and PhD programs and teaching various subjects related to urban and regional planning. Recognized as an Associate Professor, Adiwan's research focuses on Creative and Digital Economies, Urban Informality, and Fiscal Decentralisation. Additionally, Adiwan holds the position of Director of the Metropolitan Centre, leads the Metropolitan Studies Centre, and has been involved in multiple research initiatives, including projects at the NUS Urban Analytics Lab and the University of Twente. Participation in the U.S. Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program and numerous academic roles highlight Adiwan's extensive expertise. Adiwan's educational background includes a PhD in Urban and Regional Economics from University College London and an MSc in Geographic Information Technology from the University of Melbourne.
