Thomas Budiarto

Thomas Budiarto is a lecturer and researcher at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) since March 2022, focusing on energy management and the diagnosis and prognosis for battery and photovoltaic power plants. Previously, Thomas served as a postdoctoral researcher, working on grid-scale battery energy storage systems, and as a consultant for the Asian Development Bank, where Thomas evaluated energy storage value chain capabilities in Indonesia and Australia. As an Energy and Sustainability Consulting Manager at BDO in Indonesia, Thomas provided sustainability services across various industries. Thomas holds a Doctor's Degree in Energy and Process Engineering from Technische Universität Berlin, as well as a Master and Bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics from Institut Teknologi Bandung. Thomas has also held multiple research and academic positions, contributing significantly to renewable energy projects and education in energy systems.
