Gaute Svenningsen

Corrosion Research Scientist at Institute for Energy Technology

Gaute Svenningsen is a seasoned Corrosion Research Scientist with extensive experience in the field of materials degradation, particularly within the petroleum sector. Since 2007, Svenningsen has been affiliated with the Institute for Energy Technology, focusing on corrosion research associated with CO2 and H2S. Prior to this role, Svenningsen worked as a Research Scientist at the Norwegian Institute for Air Research from 2005 to 2007, where the emphasis was on material degradation due to air pollution. Svenningsen holds a PhD in Corrosion, Materials Technology, and Electrochemistry from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, obtained in 2005, as well as an MSc in Chemistry, Materials Technology, and Electrochemistry from the same institution, completed in 2000.
