John Eidar Simensen

John Eidar Simensen is a Senior Research Scientist at the Institute for Energy Technology, where work focuses on the assessment and safety argumentation of safety-critical systems, contributing to the OECD Halden Reactor Project since February 2008. Simensen also holds experience as a Research Scientist for the OECD Halden Reactor Project and served as Deputy Chief for the Norwegian Armed Forces Nijmegen delegation from July 2008 to August 2012. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Information Technology with a focus on Safety Critical Systems and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, both from Østfold University College, as well as military training at the Royal Norwegian Airforce Command School and the Royal Norwegian Airforce Officer Academy.
