Øyvind Waage Hanssen-Bauer

Øyvind Waage Hanssen-Bauer is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Wind Energy at the Institute for Energy Technology since August 2018, focusing on developing engineering models for predicting wind behavior in wind farms to facilitate real-time load and performance calculations for turbines. Previously, Øyvind completed a PhD in fluid mechanics at NTNU from October 2013 to September 2017, where research centered on the experimental investigation of acoustically forced air jets, pertinent to thermoacoustic instabilities in industrial applications. Øyvind also gained early experience in numerical fluid mechanics through summer positions at Forsvarets forskningsinstitutt - FFI and Asplan Viak AS. Øyvind holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from NTNU, obtained in 2013.
