Dan Schummers

Previously, Dan Schummers serves as Special Assistant to the CEO. He is responsible for ensuring the execution of IHI’s strategic priorities and managing the relationship between the executive leadership team and IHI’s Board of Directors. He oversees both strategic and operational planning for the Institute, and provides guidance to projects of strategic importance. Mr. Schummers serves on IHI’s senior executive team, and acts as an interface between senior leaders and staff. He has authored or co-authored several publications on topics such as leadership, governance, and improvement ideas. Mr. Schummers has worked closely with IHI’s senior executives since he joined IHI in 2004. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Chicago.
