Ron Popper

Ron Popper is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in human rights, corporate responsibility, and journalism. Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer for Global Business Initiative on Human Rights since January 2019, Popper also holds positions as an Advisory Board Member and Trustee for the Institute for Human Rights and Business. Previously, Popper was a Trustee and Governance Committee member at the Centre for Sport and Human Rights and a member of the Governance Committee at FIFA. A decade was spent at ABB as Head of Corporate Responsibility, focusing on the development and implementation of human rights policies and managing complex projects globally. Popper's journalism career spans over two decades, including roles as a reporter and editor across various media outlets, culminating in international news reporting with the BBC World Service and Swiss Radio International. Popper holds a BA in History and French from Oriel College, Oxford.
