Antonio Mateo

Antonio Mateo, Jr. is an experienced academic and engineering professional with a strong background in chemical engineering and petroleum studies. Currently serving as Senior Faculty and Head of Department at the Institute of Applied Technology since 2016 and 2018 respectively, Antonio is responsible for courses in petroleum and petrochemical engineering. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Lecturer and Trainer for Oil & Gas Engineering at Nizwa College of Technology, and VP for Student Services and Professor at Mapua Institute of Technology in the Philippines. Antonio's early career included a position as Project Engineer at D&L Industries Inc., where responsibilities included overseeing physical oil refining projects and improving chemical processes. Antonio holds a PhD and MS in Chemical Engineering from the University of the Philippines and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Mapúa University.
