Alicia Navarro

Alicia Navarro, CMP, DES, MSHTM, is an experienced professional in meeting and event management, currently serving as the Manager of Meeting and Event Experiences at the Institute of Food Technologists since October 2023. Previously, Alicia held positions such as Project Manager at Cadmium, Meetings Manager at the American Planning Association, and Conference Services Content & Technology Coordinator at the American Library Association, where significant accomplishments included transitioning conferences to virtual formats and managing large-scale submission processes. Additional experience includes roles at CoolSpeak, LLC, the United States Hispanic Leadership Institute, Kaplan University, and Morton College, demonstrating a comprehensive background in event logistics, budget management, and team coordination. Educational qualifications include a Master’s in Hospitality & Tourism Management and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Roosevelt University, along with an Associate Degree from Morton College.
