Janine Bidmead

Janine Bidmead is a versatile professional with a diverse background in project coordination, education, and hydraulic modeling. Currently serving as a Project Coordinator at GNS Science since May 2022, Janine has also been a Planetarium Presenter at Space Place, showcasing the Southern night sky to visitors. Previous roles include Hydraulic Modeller and Project Manager at Mott MacDonald, where expertise with various modeling software was applied, and Research Assistant for the TephraNZ project at Victoria University of Wellington. Janine's experience spans coordinating significant science education programs at the Royal Society of New Zealand and managing large-scale events at the Building Officials Institute. With a strong educational foundation in Physical Geography and English Literature, Janine demonstrates a commitment to enhancing community engagement and science education.
