Matt Hill

Matthew Hill is a geologist currently positioned in the Regional Geology Department of the Natural Hazards Division at GNS Science, where work focuses on geological mapping and 3D geological modeling since November 2015. Concurrently, Matthew is pursuing a PhD in Geology at the University of Western Australia, which commenced in June 2010. Previously, Matthew held a geologist role at Kenex Ltd from January 2006 to November 2015 and served as a structural geology tutor at Victoria University of Wellington between February 2001 and February 2015. Notably, Matthew participated as a field research assistant with the Antarctic Research Centre during the 2001/2002 season, contributing to significant glaciological research in Antarctica. Educationally, Matthew holds multiple degrees in Geology, Marketing, and Management from Victoria University of Wellington, completed between 1997 and 2005.
