Scott Kelly is a seasoned professional in natural hazard risk reduction and environmental planning, currently serving as the Risk Science Team Leader at GNS Science since July 2019. In this role, Scott collaborates with engineers, planners, and various scientists to conduct research and commercial work aimed at enhancing land use planning strategies. Prior to GNS Science, Scott held multiple leadership and planning positions at Mitchell Daysh Ltd from October 2016 to June 2019, where responsibilities included preparing resource consent applications and conducting environmental impact assessments across diverse industries. Scott also worked as an Environmental Consultant at Mitchell Partnerships Limited from July 2015 to October 2016. Scott holds a Master of Science in Hazard and Disaster Management and a Bachelor of Science in Geology/Earth Science, both from the University of Canterbury.
