Shannon Bengtson

Shannon is a researcher and team leader in the Earthquake Physics and Statistics team. His main research area is in statistical modeling and sea-level rise, orientating his research outputs to end-user needs. Having previously worked as a data scientist, he is also interested in the application of machine learning techniques to environmental problems. He is currently focusing on developing a model framework that can be used by governments to assess the probability of coastal inundation on low-lying atoll islands in the Pacific.
