Robert Steele

Robert Steele is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Austrian Academy of Sciences since August 2023. Previously, Robert served as a Visiting Fellow at The London School of Economics and Political Science from September 2021 to September 2022, and as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Los Angeles from September 2019 to September 2021. Robert holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Arab and Islamic Studies from the University of Exeter (2015-2018), a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Near and Middle Eastern Studies from The University of Manchester (2013-2015), a Master of Arts (MA) in International Relations of the Middle East from the University of Exeter (2012-2013), and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Ancient History from the University of Wales, Lampeter (2008-2011).
