Mark Isaksen has extensive experience in museum and library services, currently serving as Supervisory Grants Program Manager and Senior Program Officer in the Office of Museum Services at the Institute of Museum and Library Services since November 2010. Prior to this role, Mark held several positions at the National Park Service from August 2001 to November 2010, including Chief of Resource Management for the National Mall and Memorial Parks and Senior Curator at the Northeast Museum Services Center. Additional experience includes serving as Administrative Director of the Biodiversity Research Group at The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University from May 1998 to August 2001, and various curatorial roles at the Independence Seaport Museum from September 1992 to October 1997. Mark holds an MS in Historic Preservation from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in History, American Studies, and Political Science from American University.
