Mark Fritz

Mark Fritz is a seasoned professional in nuclear operations with extensive experience in emergency preparedness and quality assurance. Currently serving as a Senior Operations Evaluator at the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations since May 2021, Mark previously held significant positions at NextEra Energy, Inc. from 2007 to May 2021, including Senior Emergency Preparedness Manager & Coordinator, where responsibilities included leading the implementation of joint information systems for emergency responses across five nuclear facilities. Mark demonstrated exemplary performance as Senior Emergency Preparedness Coordinator by successfully executing a Hostile Action Based Exercise without any findings from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. As a Nuclear Quality Assurance Supervisor, Mark managed a quality assurance team to uphold rigorous standards, and as Operations Shift Manager, Mark played a critical role in achieving industry-leading status for nuclear plant operations. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from Upper Iowa University.
